2010 Premier Demo Series Dates Announced

Intense Cycles, Cove Bikes, Titus, Rocky Mountain, Mondraker and Turner Bikes have once again teamed and along with Singletrack Magazine are offering riders around the country the opportunity to test their latest bikes at four top UK trail centre locations.

The Premier Demo Series is your chance to throw your leg over and demo ride bikes from six of the UK’s leading brands for free. The list of bikes available to ride reads like the ultimate wish list of precious metal and coupled with some of the UK’s best trail centres the Premier Demo Series is a must attend event.

Each event will feature the brands top bikes all set up and ready to be put through their paces by you. With no need to book, great trails and some of the finest bikes available, each weekend is sure to guarantee a worthwhile day or weekend’s riding. All you need to do is turn up along with some identification (Driving License or Passport), some form of security (Credit Card, wife or whisky), your pedals, helmet and riding gear and away you go.

Demos will run from 10am until 4pm each day where you will be able to take each model bike on a demo loop of around 45 minutes which will utilise the existing trail network.

Go ride, judge the bike, return it, chat about it and then grab another and start the whole process again. Great stuff eh!

If that’s not enough, you can now improve your riding skills at the Premier Demo Series as well. Rocky Mountain professional World Cup DH and 4X rider Scott ‘Boom Boom’ Beaumont will be in attendance during the demo days and will be on hand to answer, demonstrate and help anyone who demo rides a bike some coaching tips to help improve their riding skills. If you have ever fancied being better at jumping or wondered how to bunny hop then Scott will be on hand to help teach you just that.

Annoying that I’m planning to be at Dalby ont eh 27/28 March and Afan on the 8/9May (i.e. the wrong way round) would have loved to try the DW 5 Spot and Tracer.

45 minutes to do the Skyline at Afan! – I am not worthy of these bikes

looking at the list of bikes, shame they do not seem to be bring a full range of sizes… no l or xl bikes and thus no point in going… at least when Gary Fisher et al did their demo days they had a full range of sizes from xs to xxl

As someone whose only real experience of full suspension is a JMC FSR with around three inches of travel at each end, this could be an interesting way to see what the last 15 years of technological development has brought to the mountain biking experience.

So, which if any of the demo bikes are proper 4-bar suspension designs?

Is this for Premier subscribers only?
