  • Zefel 'No mud' guard – reviews? specific cable routing query…

    hi all,

Heard good things about this guard – I want to use it as a rear guard on a full sus – however my frame has the gear cabling running on top of the stay where this guard would clamp – I guess this may cause a problem or is it designed with this in mind?

    experiences or opinions welcome please

    Cheers!

I don’t think it’s designed with this in mind.

Do you run full length outer? If so, I doubt it’s a problem. It might sit wonky (where one side rests on the cable outer), but you can just even it out with some old rolled inner tube or duct tape under the other side.

If it’s not a full length.outer then it might be a bit more of a ball ache, but you could probably still badge some stand offs to clamp against while letting the cable run freely.

It is designed with a cable sized cut out on the clamp. I fitted one to my FS last winter and it did a decent job of keeping my dry and clean.
