Building a new bike which has full XX.

Few days back i discovered the XX front mech won’t work with the frame as it’s hard agaisn’t a linkage.

Checked out all of Srams front mechs and they are the same design so they are out.

Will the latest XTR front mech work ?

Definitely. “Offroading’s mystery bike about which we have absolutely no information” is top of the list of compatible frames on Shimano.com.

Im not concerned about frame compatible, which i know it will be.

It’s will it work on an XX crank.

The issue isn’t the crank, it’s the shifter. Not sure an XX shifter will work properly with a Shimano mech.

Front mechs from SRAM and Shimano use the same cable pull ratio, it’s just the rear mechs that differ- was this your concern Njee?

As Njee says, no issue with the crank. No issue with anything else either

Even on the 10 speed? Certainly don’t know they don’t, but SRAM tweaked the cable pull for XX, I don’t know if Shimano did the same.
