Got a new postie. At first while he was delivering my new shiny bike bits he pretty much shoved them in my hand and walked off without so much as a grunt.
My apologies to him after slagging him off to the missus but I’ve just worked out he’s actually mute (is that the right phrase?!).
Do I just give him the usual cheery ‘morning postie’ when I open the door to him or would it be patronising to say thank you in sign language (hoping youtube video of ‘thank you’ isn’t something rude…)?
Might make him smile if nothing else. Or at least try not to jam stuff thru the letterbox when I’m not in, like the old postie…..
