    even though winter has not arrived here yet…

    todays beef casserole and mash was awesome. the beef was cooked in balsamic vinegar & garlic making the sauce so so sweet 🙂

    Cottage pie.
    Beef stew.
    Big fat roast dinners.

    Any stew is good.

    Chicken is good. Made with thighs for a better flavour. Maybe with some butter beans and winter vegetables. And a bit of chorizo to add some depth to the flavour. And them maybe finished off with some dumplings. Getting hungry now.

    Whatever you use just cook it on a low heat for a long time.

    A nice stew, pot roast or even Chilli done in the slow cooker all ways goes down well.

    Rice pudding, syrup sponge pudding, treacle pudding, sticky toffee pudding, spotted dick pudding, chocolate pudding, bread & butter pudding… (think you can see where I’m going with this… 😀

    Pretty much anything cooked in an oven suits me down to the ground. Especially in a casserole pot.

    Cottage pie and peas.
    Duck leg hash.
    Steak and Ale pie/Steak and Ale stew.
    Butternut squash and chilli soup.
    Duck breast with Lentil, carrot and mushroom ‘stew’.
    Beef tagine with lemon couscous.
    Lancashire hotpot.
    Stovies.
    Macaroni cheese (with lashings of ketchup).
    Cheese and potato ‘pie’ with baked beans.
    3 bean chilli.
