As title… I need to run some hinged levers with v-brakes – can I use something like the Tektro mini-v 926AL with a bmx lever?

You should be able to. You can use standard road levers with mini-Vs so BMX blades should be the same AFAIK.

    I'd agree, AFAIK

bmx levers = cantilever levers = road levers

given that mini Vs run with road levers you should be fine

humm im not so sure bmx levers arnt really made for vs. we have had problems in the past trying to fit them. the pull runs out! on the other hand bmx levers are inexpensive so give it a bash.

Some bmx levers come in different flavours for calliper (and mini v) or v.
Some others have an adjustable mechanical advantage. On these you would want to set the cable end clip closest to the lever pivot.

Ta muchly all… I've now twigged that in order to fit to the bars (charge slice) I need a 23.8 clamp – which I guess means CX levers… But i think these will work with mini-vs fine…

    It's all so complicated…

As you say Joe – they're pretty cheap so I'll give it a try…
