Searched on here but tech ain’t my thing and a bit confused.
BT infinity with wifi box thingy in hall
Generally signal ok round house when using tablets laptop etc.
Smart tv has a dongle for wifi and when trying to watch iplayer often it keeps reloading.
Tv is about 5 metres from wifi box with a single brick wall between.
Currently sitting beside it with iPad showing full number of bars wifi signal.
Is it just a matter of a power line adapter?
Take it these don’t affect wifi?
    Thanks

could it not be a firmware problem with the smart tv and bbc iplayer rather than the wifi dongle?

Sugget you try changing channels on the router manually (BT ones select “the best” automatically but I am sceptical)

Other than that a Tp-link wired (ethernet cable) costs about £30 and will work well if your TV (or Apple TV) can take ethernet. Impersonally think based on what you’ve said a TP-link wifi extender is a waste of time if the router really is just 5m through a wall from the TV
