@globalti – yes, then as now, wealthy Nigerians used to send their children to my school back when I was there (eeek – nearly 30 years ago! 😯 ), we had several princes, one of my best mates was the son of a Lagos surgeon. Used to meet them when I was on hols in Lagos!

Left school nearly 20 years ago.

Let me see, off the top of my head in my year we had:

    British
    German
    French
    Swiss
    Taiwanese
    Cantonese
    Ghanaian
    Bornean
    American

Not bad given there weren’t more than 60 kids in a year when I arrived.

A twist to it is for me oddly enough at times is that I envied trying state schooling as the cost involved shocks me still to this day. Could of probably purchased a bike frame co by now if saved from the greedy MF takers which would be the slime ball heads!

    1. Because having children is a gift/blessing in itself

    2. Because education (in whichever form suits best) is the best* gift that you can give a child

    Err, that’s it!

edit * second best after unconditional love and support?
