Shimano Dura Ace (they actually fit most of their cartridge shoes), you won't get better for the money.

I use Koolstop dual compound ones. They seem to stop me, even when it is raining (supposed to be good in both wet and dry). They were about £7 a pair when I bought them.

koolstop salmon here as well.
Might try the swiss stop ones next though, although they look expensive you actually get two pairs of pads for the price, so not a huge amount more than the koolstop.

Dura Ace for me as well, they perform well in all conditions.
Never used the others I might give them a go next time.

Aren't all road brakes rubbish in really heavy rain? Even when you stop the wheels turning the bike still slides.

Koolstop salmons here to, they are pretty cheap IMO (last ages). Also used Swisstop greens and they're good to but I didn't notice any better than Koolstops and they're more expensive so not bought since. Not been impressed with Shimano OEM blocks in the past but the DA ones on my new bike seem as good as Koolstops (although I'm sure the DA calipers are probably flattering them a bit), not used them in the wet yet though.

Koolstop dual compound for me too. Plenty good enough for me, even in the wet. I can easily endo at speed with a good tug of the front brake. Not recommended though as it's quite scary.
