    hey all,

recently built my epic up got to the point of getting bars and am unsure which way to go.

    flat?

    or

    low rise?

    with or w/out ski ends?

trying to work out the benificial factors of either or which combo would be the nicest to ride

    thanks in advance.

    Low risers for an Epic.
    No bar ends.

Nice width is about 685mm – Easton's standard width. Gives excellent comfort and control. You'll notice a massive difference if you've been running narrow bars and/or bar ends.
Only downside is its not so easy to dodge between narrow trees 🙂

Depends how tall/big/wide you are – I've wide-shoulders and find that I'm more comfortable with wide bars – consequently I'm running a pair of Sunline V2's at 711mm…

When I've some cash I'll move to a lighter pair.

Or maybe reasonable wide risers and bar-ends for the climbing?

I've gone for 600mm wide flat bars and bar ends on mine!

Gone from 24.5" to 27" lo-rise on both bikes.

    Liking it I must say.

No b/e but hey the fashion police are out to get you on them with anything other than flats.
