Cannock/Stile Cop
Ribbesford/Wyre Forest is meant to be good
Long Mynd in Shropshire for proper xc. Probably my favourite xc location.Posted 1 year ago # -
Thanks, i will have to check them out.
Does Stile Cop consist of drop offs or just quick single tracks ?Posted 1 year ago # -
There are small drops on all the courses, yeah. Actually, I think one of the tracks on the "dark side" might be all wheels-on-the-ground.

Great, and is it a quick DH aswell ?

Natural trails are available in client/lickey's/Stourbridge - lots to explore. Plenty of organised ride done round the Wyre (though it'll be muddy)

Yeah you can get some nice speed on the red. Look for some videos on youtube for it. Another great place for riding is Forest of Dean but that's quite south compared to cannock etc. and also much rootier.

Thanks, i have thought about going on that track before.

2nd the Wyre, some great riding in there. Plenty of guided rides there every week as well.
Clent and Lickeys are also good but on a smaller scale.

Move along. These West Midlands trails are not the trails you are looking for.

Theres some good stuff around Kinver as well, and the jumpy, droppy freeride area off Kingsford Lane.

James I noticed you from Walsall witch is just down the road form me (Sutton Coldfield) and 2 or 3 of us usually go for night rides in Sutton Park on a Thursday night. Its not the most tecnical of places but there a few fast fun sections that we tend to session and we find that this really does help improve our riding. I guess that being a noob that you probably don't have a decent light but if you fancy it at any time drop me an email (its in my profile) and we can meet up and I will lend you a light.
