Looking at getting some new forks - probably RS Revs with Blackbox motion control. A month or so ago there seemed to be quite a few deals around on 2011 models. Pretty much all disappeared now, and I'm staring at £500+. So where have all the deals gone?

Sold to people who had the cash a month ago?
Where have you looked so far? There must still be something out there.

Merlin have Dual Air RLT Ti for £450. 30% off, but expensive still
I got Rev RL from there a month back for £300 with a view to getting them Pushed if they didn't perform well enough. So far haven't felt any need to upgrade them though.

I got mine from On-One quite a while ago but I'm sure they were still doing deals last time I looked - try there

These maybe of interest to you

Spoke to Merlin. They are getting some more in within the next few weeks, or looks like there are some newish S/H ones around.
Don't I remember some issue with 2010 model Revs - knocking or something else?
Posted 1 year ago # -
There may have been on sum but mine definitely don't.

2009 Revs seemed to have a knocking issue (mine and a couple of other people I know, plus others online) - but that was a different chassis entirely.
My 2010 Revs have been largely fine apart from slowly leaking air from time to time. A friend had more serious air leakage issues and so did somebody he knows.
And now the U-turn has seized up on mine - but that's always been an issue and they're dropped the U-turn now anyway.
HTH in some way.

2010 rev's can be a little flakey by the sounds of thing, complete U-turn failure and air leaks if mine (and lots of other thread lately) are anything to go by, outstanding fork otherwise though. Issues should be fixed/covered by warrenty but not to 2nd owners?

Thanks all. Difficult choice - save a load of wedge on 2010 model, especially if I go almost new, or extra dosh and 2011 model.
Connected question. On my Pikes I just set rebound to a click or so slower than middle, and poplock/compression to off and never touch them again. Is it worth paying extra for the Black box damping?

The main benefit of BB is the shimmed rebound damper, which I think most 2011 Revelation forks have anyway.
Edit:
RL and RLT models upgraded to Dual Flow rebound.

Rock Shox Revelation RLT Ti - Dual Position Air 2011
400 quid in the crc vip sale but only 3 left in stock apparently

Thanks guys. Looks like I don't need the Black Box motion control then, unless anyone else has a view on why I would need it?
£400 for 2011 Ti is very tempting - thanks for pointing out. CRC always worries me though - will they run out of stock, take my money, then make me hang on forever for new stock at a higher price?

If I wanted one I'd regret missing that price.

I got some cheap from Singapore, but funny, they don't have any left now!
It looks like they're limiting the supply again so they can stick the prices up again!
