Get out of there as fast as I could, and try to remember details about the car. Then ring Plod.

Quickly remove forks and own innit.
Bike as a weapon.
run away.
wake up and get ready for work.
Take reg number tell police.Posted 11 months ago # -
yup
My rule is quite clear these days - I do not hang around if the driver looks like getting out of the car. Swear at them, slag 'em, laugh at them and ride off laughing.
Report it to the police if you hve the number or if there is a CCTV camera there

PHONE 999,
do you really need to ask,Posted 11 months ago # -
Leave very quickly and invest in a helmet cam for some evidence in case it happens again.
Did you get the reg number?

I got the reg number.

report to the police then. Fair chance he will get stopped and searched and get an APNR marker on the car. CCTV would help as well

May as well report it, they might do something if the driver is known to them.

He pulls a knife.
You pull a gun.
He puts one of yours in the hospital.
You put one of his in the morgue. That's the Chicago way.
The British way however is to make a note of the registration, make and model of vehicle and report it to the Police.

i would calmly and quietly ask hin why he felt the need to threaten me with a knife.
i would then ask him to put it away.

Wasn't in Leicester was it, a guy driving a VW Polo by any chance? A friend of ours got a knife pulled on him not 2 weeks ago by an old fella at the lights. Police were informed and said they were too busy to look into in that night and would get around to it in the next day or two!

Hmm, all the martial art training I've done (a fair bit, black belt in TKD and kickboxing plus brown in BJJ) have taught to do one of two things. If possible, run. If not, punch in throat, kick through knee, kick in balls, hurt - really really hurt the person. Id much rather do the first but I'd be ready to do the second.
Failing all though, get down on my knees and beg him not to hurt me.Posted 11 months ago # -
Beat them to death with my penis

You could've KO'd him. Or whack him with your bike, done properly his knife wouldn't be a problem for you.

My understanding is that if threatened in an open area you run towards a gun and away from a knife. YMMV.

Guy has been traced and charged with breach of the peace. From what the police said he'll spend the night in the cells and be in court tomorrow.
Posted 11 months ago # -
Impressive. What did you do to get PC plod to move so soon - pull a knife?
Too soon?
Posted 11 months ago # -
Hang on, he threatens you with a knife and gets 'breach of the peace' whilst i threaten gits breaking into my garage with my axe and get Affray?????
Posted 11 months ago # -
Knife crime is taken very seriously round that part of the country.
Posted 11 months ago # -
Breach of the peace is a fair bit lower down the scale than affray though isn't it?
Posted 11 months ago # -
They are considering more serious charges but need to determine reasons for carrying the knife and classification of the knife first.
Posted 11 months ago # -
Ah, i see. Hopefully they'll nail the pillock to the wall then.
