As above really. Vodafone have given me free Internet for the rest of the year but with a nokia 6300 I'm not really sure what use that is. I've just used it for calls and texts so far. Suggestions please.

Most modern phones have a built in modem. My mums old Nokia (pre colour screen) had one and I was able to use it as a modem for my laptop after installing some drivers and connecting it with IR (You could probably even use a cable that came with the phone). It will be slow, slower than a broadband connection and not much fun either. Nokia 6300 is not the best phone to browse internet as the screen is small. Maybe try and download some free games for it to kill free time later or get Gmail application on Your phone as You have to download it first and than it uses minimal amount of data to check Your email on the go (if You're on Gmail). Or swap Your phone with someone for a nicer one for couple of days and than watch Youtube etc… Saying that, internet on the phone is not that brilliant in my opinion even on my E71 or my brothers Hero. It just works and does the job before You get to the computer if You want to check email or read the forum but it probably won't blow You away. 🙂

cheers, spent most of the day trying to download UTM data and get it to work on the wife's 5800. Not having much luck though. It seems to be there, it just isn't willing to open from the applications screen! What a waste of time.

Opera mini. It's a better browser than the good Nokia one.
