    I bought this one:

+ tough plastic, and you can use half a cannister, flick the locking switch and leave the rest for later if needed.

    – a bit bulky and doesnt fit in my tiny 0.2l saddle bag, next time I’ll probably just buy one of the tiny inflators, threaded cartriges and a neopreeen sock, either that or one of the combined pump/CO2 inflators. Basicly it’s fine for MTB or touring/commuting, but a bit big to stash on the road bike (unless you’re the type who has everything in their pockets and no saddle bag, or even just a big saddle bag, in which case it’s fine for that too).

Once I’ve used up my supply of 16g non threaded cartriges I’ll probably get something more like this one http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=2444&category=8

I use an genuine inovations one when I’m commuting, its got a trigger, lock, etc and its very easy to use. As above you can leave a cartridge in it with co2 used and just lock it.

I use a tiny lezyne one on my road bike though which works very well too – screw the inflator to the valve, screw the valve to the inflator, press and thats it. Bit more fiddly than the large one but still works well.

    cartridges from tyre inflators.

edit: my large inflator is an older version of the one in the link above. Quite fancy one of those yopeak micro booster ones for keeping on another bike.

Another thumbs-up for the ultraflate plus.
