    evening STW’ers

I’m looking into a new full bounce frame and i’m pretty open as what to get next.. don’t really fancy a full carbon frame.

frame needs to be 5″-6″ in travel…

Can you name as many as possible other than the obvious.

    muchas gracias.

Firstly, this is only my opinion and bike preference is subjective. Also, I own one so am unlikely to slate it. I love the thing. I’ve had Intense, spesh, commencal and have ridden Blur LT2s, Orange 5s, cannondale prophets etc etc and the knolly is as near to perfect as I have found for me. Very positive climber, sort of encourages you to blast a little more on the way down, hugely stiff (easily the stiffest bike I’ve ridden) and beautifully crafted. Frame’s around 7lbs c/w RP23. If I ever break mine, it’s likely I’ll go straight out and buy another. I’ll try and send you some pics tomorrow, I’m just fitting some new wheels 😀

I’d have bought a Transition Covert if I hadn’t picked up my Remedy for a bargain basement price.

Is the Transition Covert any good at climbing?

The Covert climbs just fine, descends well and jumps better than most of the other 5-6″ trail bikes I’ve tried. If I hadn’t set my heart on an Alpine 160 it’s probably what I’d be having.

Do you have geometry figures for the new chumba and weight?

Worth having a look at the new Nukeproof Mega, £899 with shock.

Thinking of replacing my Wolf Ridge with one, got a hankering for one with a CCDB and 2011 Van 36 RC2.

Climbs surprisingly well too, better than my Intense did. It does rip down though.
