Hi, we want a romantic week away in early December for the two of us, but don't want to pay too much (we're looking about £250 for Mon-Fri). All we want is time away from the usual work etc, but would like somewhere pretty / interesting. As the weather will be crap we'd like somewhere cosy, but we're not too worried where it is. Where can you recommend? Thanks.

Madeira is nice, went there a few years ago, great for walking, some interesting (and pretty) towns, relaxing. Not sure how it fits into your price range though. A quick google reveals the average temperature in December is 19.6 degrees.
The Canary islands are pretty warm in December, too.

That's probably well above our budget, which is why we're looking for somewhere in this country. We've had a look and might try to find somewhere outside bath (within about 30mins). Unless anyone can recommend anywhere.
