I work abroad for longish periods of time, would love to watch iplayer on my iPad. Don’t really understand the VPN stuff, is there another way? There is an iplayer international app on iTunes but you have to have an overseas registered iTunes account with billing adress to download it 🙁

Not sure about another way, but the vpn stuff is pretty straightforward.

Try checking out unblock-us (and their instructions) and hideipvpn (whose instructions are a bit more complex but still fairly comprehensive). The former is definitely easier, and has other benefits.

It’s cheapish too, <£5 a month.

I use BOXPN. There is a tab at the top of my MacBook, which you select ‘connect’ – wait until the timer starts and that’s me connected.

Why look at other options when it’s that simple.

It’s a paid vpn service, but it works & they have good support.
