My local BNP candidate is called Ramon (good British name, eh?), and I used to work with the English Democrats candidate.

I was interested to discover that the local elections weren't being held in the same place so I have to find out where and go there too

The pencil on a string wouldn't quite reach very easily. So I had to use the next booth which had a longer bit of string.

My station is in the pub at the end of the road. Busiest night of their year. If this was the norm the turnout would be massive

I feel for you mate
I recently worked on a very large site where one of the guys was an English Democrat nutter. The bloke was a complete nightmare. All he ever did was rant about the Scots and the need for independence for England or something - never quite figured out what he was waffling about. But it was mainly ranting about the Scots.
And he somehow always managed to bring the conversation round to England needing to be independent from Scotland - whatever the originally topic was. I was scared to make eye contact with him, in case it triggered off a rant about the Scots. And he used to reel out all these "facts" and "figures" as proof to why everyone should hate the Scottish.
Sometimes I would hear him ranting on at someone he had cornered, which made me chuckle ...... as I realised my own mortal danger and I quicken my step.
The geezer truly was a ****.

Nothing interesting happened at the polling station but i did find out my next door neighbour is a member of the BNP, Which explains quite a lot.

Discovered that a candidate for the local council election lives a good 10 miles from my 'local' seat! Why not stand in their own area? an area they might know something about! So I voted for the bloke who lives in the next street to me. (Different party to who I voted for in the General election)

Nothing interesting here. Except my polling station smelt weird. Was it because it was in the "Youth Wing" of the local primary school, or because it was full of the elderly, I cannot tell.

Voted labour.
The only excitement I got is when a little old lady was chatting to me while in a que at the library and also the fact I could use the roadbike to cycle to the polling station.
