Need to buy 10 or so of these for the spares shelf. My homebrew sealant seems to gum them up in no time and all the family bikes are tubeless hence the qty. Seen em for 73p at Ribble which seems very good, but just wondered if there was anywhere cheaper that you happenn to know of? Yes, yes, tightwad I know.

I’d suggest your doing something wrong, stans for years = no issues

noted you have homebrew sealant, lifes to short for the hassle

Try soaking the gummed-up valve cores in nail varnish remover (acetone) overnight. Cleans them up nicely ime.

presta valves are the devils creation.
god created the schrader valve for a reason, may be not this reason though. 😀

I’d have thought nail varnish remover would degrade the rubber seal on presto valves? – perhaps i’m over thinking again.

Ribble it is, ta. I can stand 73p every now & then to save 50% on my sealant.
