  • Trek frame bearing – are they warrantied?

The bearings on my 2013 Remedy have gone so its time for a replacement. I have a vague recollection of the LBS saying these are under warranty (like Santa Cruz). Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I will chase it up with the shop later but I am just curious as the warranty info on the internet doesn’t say if they are or aren’t! I suppose they would come under wear and tare.

Trek have done some stuff like this- main pivot bearings in some bikes, because they were some funky trek specific bullshit, you got for free. But I don’t know if that’s still the case, nothing on the website

My 2008 Trek was covered under a minimal 1p cost or something ( don’t know why, other than you couldn’t have it for free), as long as I had the receipt. Sold the frame now. Not sure if they carried that over onto later bikes.
