I’m thinking of selling my spesh fsr xc pro in order to buy a pitch as I fancy some extra travel. Thing is, on my current frame has anyone run greater travel without ruining the ride? Current travel us 120mm.

Instead of buying a whole new bike, how about you talk to Loco/TFT about altering your current suspension?

That’s what I’m thinking, but not sure what the geometry of the frame would be like?

i ran an ’05 with 120 forks quite happily

then i got a betd suspension link plate which increased the rear to 130, jacked up the BB and changed the shock leverage ratio…….

then i stuck some 150 bombers on the front.

i could have gone down the route of angleset and offset bushings, but i bought an AS-X and combined it with a lovely hardtail.

off the back of a fag pack, 1″ increase* at the front is approx 1 deg slacker

*you can argue for ever if thats based on travel, sagged travel, A2C and then throw in manufacturer….

I currently have 120 mm but would like 140 mm minimum.

Get a pitch less risk of it being a dog.

Sorry for the confusion – I meant getting the current suspension tuned properly (if possible).
