done my normal 45min Friday morning turbo session (whilst watching The collective:Roam) and got to thinking, are patience and stamina one and the same thing?

reason for wondering is that I’m not a patient person. ever. if i order something off of the web i want it there and then. If there’s a lead time to order something I’ll invariable not buy it because I’ve got to wait for it. until recently.

and this brings me to stamina. I have none. I’m getting better but i think it’s because my job has started to teach me to be more patient.

are they linked? or was my mind wondering because i was:
    a) still half asleep
    b) bored, on a turbo trainer.

With respect to fitness, I suppose ‘patience’ is what you could call the discipline needed to spend the time building up stamina … you need patience to build stamina, but they’re not “one and the the same thing” as such

Most things in life these days have way of achieving a quick fix or instant gratification … perhaps we’re all becoming conditioned to expect instant results with everything

I can ride all day long if I pace myself right.

The fitter I am, the faster that pace is.

    you’re getting old.
you might as well give up.
    take up knitting instead.

Seems like you have difficulty deferring gratification.
