I’ve rounded off the retaining cap on my race face x-type cranks and can’t shift it. Anyone got any ideas? What a **** chocolate I am!!!

are you trying to remove the cranks?

If so, i did exackerly the same as this recently. I think it’s the retaining cap made out of chocolate, not you.

On my set, I simply put the allen key in the inner ring and undid it and it pushed the crank off still with the retaining cap still in place. May work for you, it may not.

Edit, just checked here on my favourite site and it looks like you don’t need to touch the retaining cap anyroad up!
