I thought it was a XC race frame? Why does it have iscg mounts? And why the ugly boxy chain stays?
**Is disappointed**

Pic?

This one?
Yep.
Ah.
Someone has uploaded completely the wrong picture.
New scandal looks like this:-

ps: ISCG on next version
I like the one in the shedfire link, looks "right"
**Is now delighted**
I've said it before and I'll say it again......HURRY THE CHUFF UP YOU CHUFFIN' CHUFFERS.That is all.......
29ers are wrong. But that looks right. Very right.
Any plans to offer this as a full bike?
Does that first pic mean there's going to be an aluminium 456?
an aluminium 456?
I suspect it's a long travel 29er frame - 26ers don't need the kinky seat tube.
@TUT
Thought you were against 29ers?

That's something a previous designer left me that hasn't been continued, for now.

No not against, just didn't see the point until recently.
Brant, whilst I have your attention I ride a 20" 26er Scandal, what size 29er should I get?

19.5in probably.
How tall are you. Perhaps your 20in Inbred is wrong.
No it fits like a glove, I'm 6'2"
C'mon - how much - and when?

From the shedfire link
Woooh! New Scandal 29!
My new bike. First production sample of new Scandal 29. Production about 8 weeks off landing. £299 frame only
C'mon - how much - and when?
£299, 30th Nov.
OK - I need to sell something.
A kidney, you're only wee after a'.
Hmmm looks very very nice but I'd also need to get new wheels, tyres, & forks to go with so for that reason...
I'm out

Me too, but there comes a time when it has to be done.
One for the FAQ?? How does head angle compare with a 26" frame? 72 deg on a 29er is like a . . . . .
Does it come with a headset reducer for 1 1/8 forks?
I'm sure On One will sell you one
Hmm. Carbon Kona Kilaeua 26er or Scandal 29er...?
And no-one please remind me that I haven't ridden an MTB for nearly 18 months.....
What sort of cable-guides will there be on the production frames?
And what kind of drop-outs?
Lookee nicee to me. Could be saving up the pennies in the NY for one of them. Looks nicer than the original to me for some reason.
Just a thought Brant - is the Raw finsih simply polished alloy or is it lacquered?
and whilst you're here can't you do the dirty disco frame with mudguard/rack mounts. Would be in my basket in a jiffy if it had them.
it does say 'Much more versatile than exclusively a cyclocross race frame, the Dirty Disco is also perfect for a huge range of applications including commuting and touring.' then No mudguard or rack mounts
which doesn't really add up.
will it be a scandium alloy?
speaker2animals: it's anodized. I don't know how they do the finish but it looks good IRL.
chunkypaul: its aluminium alloy, but scandium alloy is mostly aluminium anyway.
Gary M: I think the point is that a true CX race bike will last a year, if you are lucky.
Mike: I have "Brant's" proto now. If you are in LW tomorrow or the pump track thing you can have a look.
But how can the dirty disco be capable of touring without rack mounts? Just seems an obvious omission.
