right guys doing some work on my flat and want to move my telephone from the lounge but cant just pick it up and put it in the hallway where i would like it because someone has put the wire through a wall, so it means disconnecting the wire at the end closest to the phone itself and feeding it thru the wall prior to (hopefully) cutting it to an acceptable length. Now i know the voltage is not an issue here so the question is, will i create more problems to my phone/broadband system cutting the wire after feeding it thru the wall and is what i'm doing naughty and illegal. Before anyone suggests unplugging at the entry point and reducing wire length there its not possible as its fixed and not a plug. cheers.
