I’m normally not stumped for ideas as I have been ‘upcycling’ for many moons before it became ‘trendy’.

I love creating unique pieces be it for the home or garden.

    BUT

This has me stumped…I have had a huge piece of 12 ft x 1ft drift wood…its an old beach groyne and is beautifully weathered with holes and grain. It is the thickness/ width of a railway sleeper but 12ft long and with bags of character.

I want to make this in to a simple seat…that will be out in the garden.

I would love it to include any of the following passions of mine bikes, classic motorbikes, sufing, windsurfing.

Alternatively something totally different…possibly bespoke iron legs ?

stick it on it’s end and carve it into a totem pole

bench for the garden is easy, just plonk it on top of aforementioned choice of stuff – couple of engine blocks say, or rear triangle of a bike at one end and forks the other

frame and forks may need a bit of splaying for stability
