The Schrader valve to the main chamber seems to be stuck so it wont hold any air. I have given it a good wiggle, but it doesnt seem to want to come out at all. Anyone had any similar problems? Is there a special release mechanism I don't know about? It is on a 4 Way Swinger if that helps.

I had this ages ago. There was a bit of grit stuck in it.
I think it was a Float R this happened to - I was near a bike shop, and helpfully they just unscrewed the valve & blew some air through it from an airline.
The valve should have some spanner flats around it. Can you take the valve out & give it a clean?Posted 10 months ago # -
just remove the core
do not need to remove the whole valve assembly !
you can replace the core with one from a donor tube - probably not mojo approved but if my shitey (i was never happy with it ) DHX 5 coil hadnt come with a faulty one from the offset i wouldnt have needed to stick one from a tube in to go riding

So how do I remove the core? There doesn't seem to be any way to remove the whole valve externally. I did try and "rinse" it out with lube last night but it didn't help

a pair of tweezers or small (as in jewellers) pliers does the same job, Ive used both to change schrader valve cores on a marzocchi fork

Have a wander up & down your street, check out the flash or older cars for their dust cap (valve removal tool), pop it onto a large bolt and there you go, you have the tool.

OK that didn't go to plan. I got a valve core remover and tried to remove the core, but it broke (the "wings" snapped at the central sticky up bit), so now what?? Off to Manitou?

Might get a small allen key or phillips screwdriver in if the nut part has come off completely?

I had a similar problem with a stuck valve core in my tire. I found a nifty valve core tool that clamps onto the stem of the valve. It makes removal easy. I bought mine at a car show but they have a website valvecoretool.com.
Since yours broke you might try beating a 7/64 allen key into it and you should be able to get the rest of it out.
