    …do you need to complete or exchange contracts?

    I thought it was complete but my solicitor thinks exchanging contracts will be fine.

    tick – very interested as im trying to squeeze in before this also if things go my way !

    but suspect my pressure to close before 24th is giving the vendor an issue

    Some people get confused beteen ‘exchange of contracts’ and ‘completion’. It’s the completion stage which needs to be reached before the March 24 deadline to avoid paying stamp duty.
