good enough for me at half the price for effectively the same design (bar moving lower part)

Mine is good, never drop a chain, fairly quiet.
Had to ahem…’adjust’ the backplate a little to get it sweet.

I have, and know a few others who have broken the top cage on the plasma, for the same money get one of these: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=50664 , guides are much stronger than the superstar ones, slight weight penalty but much stronger.

No probs with mine either. It’s on a 1×10 hardtail that gets a bit of DH + jump abuse as well as general trail stuff. A little bit of drag/noise but no worse than the two other designs on my other bikes.

the ls1 looks good, not bothered about weight so much (im 13st!) there is only a 60g saving on the light one so not bad!
    cheers.

It’s absolutely fine- basically what you’d expect, a solid product but not as polished as the competition (which cost 3 times as much)
