well in 15 years of MTBing I've never broken a rear derailleur, until snapping my derailleur hanger last week and today getting stuck on a branch AGAIN and bending the mech into the spokes. awesome. contrary to my initial assessment though, the derailleur itself is probably ok, it's the bolt that fixes it to the hanger that's bent.
so i went trawling the internet for a spare bolt but i can't really find any for my 2008 SRAM X9. CRC have one for 06 and 07 models only, but it looks different, and i can't even figure out how to remove the old bolt. any ideas? do i have to buy a new derailleur now or what?

If your jockey wheels are OK, I've a well used, but good working order one you can have for a few quid. Mail me if interested.

If that does not work for you I have a new x9 with a bent cage you can have it along with the new jockey wheels, again for a few quid plus postage.
