    How does the funny little lever thing work on the hose?

    When I remove the hose should the lever be at right angles to the hose (ie tip nearer the shock) or in line with the hose?

    I’m sure its jolly clever but I think I may not be getting it right and as a result the back end of my bike feels distinctly sponge like.
