Considering getting a steel rigid fork for the inbred. Anyone tried a 470mm or 490mm rigid? Any 1st hand experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure why you'd want anything that long if running rigid. I've run RC31's on my slot-dropout Inbred (not sure if they're 420 or 440 ones but probably the latter) and they seem a good length for it.

will you be running it with a 29er wheel or a 26?

can't see the poitn of either to be honest when there's so many good 440mm forks around.

epicsteve: I'm running a 100mm bouncer just now. Sagged it comes to about 470mm and the angle feels good to me. This is especially when pointing downwards as I've always been a coward and the extra slackness affords me some confidence. Just wanted to know if a longer one would be even better feeling if I went with a rigid.

wwaswas: It's the original 26" one.

I have used both 420 and 440 RC31's on my slotted version, 440 would be my choice.

kamen-rider – what fork is it? 470mm a-c when sagged seems way too long.

    wwaswas: It's a Pike set at 100mm. 490mm unsagged and ~465mm-ish sagged.

Ski & khani: I have tried to set the Pike at it's lowest and did not feel right for me so 440mm will probably be too low.
