I've got one on the way and I'm excited, 2008 x2. Black as a really black thing, gonna have 140mm Revs up front.
I'm curious to see how others have them set up

Good for you Herman! I bought a Trance last week, and I've been riding it all weekend. Its my first full suspension bike and I'm liking the feeling! I found the front end a bit lively at first, but now I've learnt to push my weight further forward, and reduced the air in the fork, I'm flowing through my usual trails much more smoothly and faster than I did on my hardtail - and boy does the thing like to jump!
Only made a few mods to mine - 2x9 drive train, ergon grips, and my usual tyres - other than that it was ready to go straight out of the box.
Mine's a 2011 X3 (Australia model)... 2011 Trance X3
Enjoy!
Here's my 2012 Trance X frameset mid build.
Can't wait to get out and ride this thing!
One I put together for a friend on a budget, the seat didn't need to be as high as it was in the pics.

How about a pair of Trance's, both running 130mm
"Black as a really black thing,"
The best frame finish ever: black on black anodising. I've added some more white bits since this, and sorted the stem/spacers out.

I think the 2012 frame layout looks a bit better though
Here's mine. I also found the front a bit wayward - flipped the stem and got rid of the conical headset top cap to lower the bars, and move my weight towards the front wheel. I love it - I cant believe a bike with this travel goes so fast downhill and climbs so well.
Mosey, the 2012 version is a big improvement visually.
Are the angles etc still the same?
Buzz, yours looks like you stole it.
Mine is a 2009 x2. Only reall difference is I now have 150mm Revalations on it and this alfine setup
This is my MK1, 120mm Fox's, Float R rear shock, Renthal bits, XT cranks and brakes and a Gravity Dropper. Running 1x10 as well. Just 'rawed' it and made some custom blue and gold stripes. Looks and rides awesome. Love Trances.

I'm in love, I want. No not the bikes, schrickvr6's toolbox!
Corrado or Golf Schrick?
2008 X2, same as mine
here's mine.
only difference from this pic is the fact it now has 140mm float rlc's with a taper steertube. So I fitted a new canecreek lower cup that let me fit taper forks
which imho makes the bike handle 100 times better
I'm all excited! Glad to see some others have foregone the cone spacer. I was looking at ways to do this but I wasn't sure whether some kind of cap was needed to cover the top bearing? I don't fancy exposing it to mud, rain and tears.
They definitely look better to me with longer forks
Herman Shake - the bike not only looks better but rides better with longer forks too. I wouldn't go over 140mm though
