    Hi,

I have been swapping stuff from an old frame which broke, to a new one. I use a Shimano square taper BB, and was just going to whack a new one in. Ordered it from CRC on tuesday, but have a strange feeling they are going to let me down. I have a old (but usable) cartridge BB which I could use for the weekend, but have lost the non-drive side “support” cup/shim thing. Has anyone run a cartridge BB just screwed in on one side, or will I knacker the frame/thread?

    Any experience appreciated! cheers

don’t do it! Asking to destroy your frame You should be able to get another screw in bit -I have one here you could have – but I bet your LBS will have one kicking around
