A few of us Leeds types are riding from Settle on Saturday. We’re planning on doing the “Whale and Toblerone” route from last month’s mag.

So far there’s me and MrsF, Gringerd, RicB and MartynS (who’s a Manc but we’re letting him ride nonetheless).

Anyone else fancy it?

Afraid I am off go karting for a mates birthday this Saturday but would be up for a ride in upcoming weekends. You always post here before big rides?

It’s probably a route you’ve done many times before, but it’s the name Ben Howarth gave it in his route guide, presumably because of the shape of the profile.

It will be perfect this weekend. Dry, sunny and not too hot.

Off up there in a couple of weeks. The run from the ford above Austwick into Wharfe is my favourite bit of trail ever.

Went out on the road bike this afternoon, left the HRM behind and just rode in the sunshine. Triffic!

Can’t wait for tomorrow. I’ve even got some new toys on the bike!
