hello there, i wnat to update the firmware on my tv but cant find the correct file, model is a samsung le40f86bdx/xeu

also, on my old network in bristol i could watch a movie off my pc harddrive on my xbox, that was with vista, with 7 i cant get windows media player or media centre to link to the pc, vuze works fine so its not firewall, media centre on my pc just cant find it!

Give TVersity a go for streaming PC to XBOX.

2 things here – unless you are 100% certain that what you are doing with the firmware is correct, don’t do it – I followed the instructions and still bricked mine – cost me £230 for a new PCB and I’m not convinced the tv’s been the same since.

As for the media sharing – you have to set WMC to accept sharing – see link
