I’m looking at getting a flared drop bar for a tourer and just wondered if anyone had experience of either of the above.

I was set on the salsa as its still quite ‘road-esq’ with only a bit of flare and looks like still a pretty normal drop.

I then saw the price of the Alpkit bars!

Does anyone know how comparable they are in terms of shape? (other than the numbers on the website)

Isn’t the Love mud bar more similar to the Woodchipper (or somewhere halfway between the woodchipper and the cowchipper)? Not actually looked at any stats, just from looking at pictures the bomber seems to have more flare than the cowchipper.

As a side note I love my woodchippers, and love the amount of flare, but would be interested in trying the love mud bars for use on a cyclocross bike (my woodchippers are on a monstercross)
