    I've got an old 97/98 Rift Zone frame in the garage. I thought I'd put it back together. The front derailleur got cannibalised for another Rift Zone as getting a new one to fit was proving tricky. Can't remember why.

    A quick search shows it came with a Shimano STX-RC top-swing, bottom-pull/clamp-on 35.0mm. Which doesn't seem to help me much.

    Could point me at a suitable derailleur? Thanks.

    My 2001 RF uses one of these, needed to clear the swing arm;

    Top swing, bottom pull, 34.9 clamp. Oops PTR beat me to it. If you swap out the limit screws for allen bolts of the same thread, you can get at them in situ with a ball ended key. Even with an obstruction screwdriver I could never get enough purchase on them.
