I’m foolish enough to be delivering a bike tomorrow to someone in Coniston so was thinking of making the most of it and having a wee 2 hour ride while I’m down there. Any suggestions?

WALNA SCAR – super rocky and fun canpark at the bottom as well
    Grizedale is nothing special IMHO

Its meant to rain here tomorrow (its been on/off a bit today) and Grizedale is a bit more low lying and sheltered than the Walna Scar. Theres tons of good stuff in Grizedale that you could make into a 2hr ride.

I used to ride around the Lakes a lot so should really know. Went to Coniston every year when I was a kid but was kayaking, not riding.

We went to Grizedale a lot when I was a teenager but I suspect it’s not my bag anymore. Walna Scar – is that just a big up and down mission – all “legal”? (not used to rules anymore!), easy to find?

Maybe I’ll consider Grizedale after all!

    fun canpark

I love a good fun canpark

Grizedale is great imo (not the NFT obviously), especially if the weather’s not too hot.
