Fed up for them falling off when night riding… What would you recommend?

What do you use up front? Reason I ask is that the Exposure Red Eye is a fantastic, bright and very small light. Gets its power from an Exposure light unit though (Joystick, Diablo, etc)

I use the Cateye LD610 – it doesn’t care about rain, the batteries last forever and it’s mega bright. Can’t fault it and cheap too.

I like the Smart Lunar 1/2 Watt.

But I’m now going to go off and look at Surf-Mat’s recommendation.

    £6 Bell one from ASDA..

    Bright as ****, and secure.

And even if it did fall off, at £6 it ain’t gonna brake the bank to replace.

Basically, there rear bit of this..

If you want bright, I can’t recommend the Dinotte 140 tail light enough. It’s 120 lumens which is by far the brightest I’ve ever seen (in comparison to the Cateye opticube rear light TD1000 which is 20 lumes, IIRC). Cars stay a mile off my backside now, and give me loads of respect – check out the reviews for people’s experiences.

The only downsides are that it ain’t cheap at £90, and has to be shipped from USA as no UK distributer anymore. Anyway, I figured it was way worth it – I would pay twice that for the amount of visibilty and traffic respect I get now. Absolutely awesome.
