Just changed long cage (LC) Sram mech for LC XT shadow but the cage is prob 2cm lower so a bit more chance of hitting rocks! so i am wondering if the med cage shadow would work ok? running 44/32

I use a short cage with 44 triple on the front and a 34 on the rear.

44 to 34 rear would require a long cage rear mech wouldn’t it?

I would expect a 32 rear would use a medium cage rear mech.

What does the Shimano website say about the matter? I’m sure they have comptibility charts in their documentation (they certainly do for road bike components)

Website doesent seem to cover this, or at least i cant see it in the tech tips.

I run a med X0 with 44 to 34… but I make sure I never go more than halfway up the cluster when in the big ring at the front… and I never go more than halfway down the cluster when in granny ring…

Nahh. Medium SRAM handles it just fine.
