    My nephew’s Saracen Raw 2 has a snapped rear axle spindle – a common problem apparently. Any one know where I can get a replacement?

    What hub is it?

    Guessing it’s a screw-on freewheel type hub(main bearing sits on the unsupported middle section of the axle), if so then most bike shops will have a replacement.May be worth upgrading to a freehub type system when the drivetrain needs replacing.

    It’s a no name hub- assume it’s the one that comes with the bike so cheap!

    Bearings are loose inside the hub, so may well be an easy fix – will take it to LBS and see.
