Anyone know off the top of their heads how many spacers are required for the BB and which side they go.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Stop with the pictures! I've got 2 hours before I can start my build

I'v changed mine a bit since the pic was taken.Running a shockpost too now ,ditched the short cage mech(it didn't like the 34t sprocket) and added a chain tensioner at the front.
I was running 2 spacers non drive side and 1 on the drive side.got away with none nowPosted 2 years ago # -
Shimano BB recommends 2.5mm non-drive side and 5mm drive side. Same 63mm BB as my 456 which worked well with nothing on the non-drive and 5mm on the drive-side so I don't think you can go too far wrong.

Shandy - you're right (2.5 and 5), but slight typo - 68mm BB.
By lucky hap, just fitted RaceFace BB today on new build Pig, and it's the same.
Oh, and how many cable clamp wotsits should it come with? And can I get some more?

Right enough, 68 it is.
Mine had a full set of clips, can't see how you would need more unless for spares?
Mine has had its first outing and it rides great!

On an entirely related note, this got build tonight.

Hi Shandy
It had threee on the top tube. Nicked one of them to get the brake hose down the seat stay (could use another)
And could do with replacing the middle one on the TT that I nicked.Good work BillOddie. Just waiting for custom wheels to be built to finish mine off...

There aren't any single cable clips on the chainstay that you can move up to the seatstay? That is a bit strange.
I wasn't going to bother stickering mine but I am starting to think where I might put them.

Just taping up a few bits on my frame. Have you guys found any areas that suffer more than others?
I've done the obvious cable rub areas.
