Just wondering if anyone uses a Rab Boreas for cycling, and if so, how do you find it? I have a vapour rise which is great for hillwalking when cold, but too warm for biking unless it’s properly cold.

I’m after a light wind-resistant top that isn’t a shell fabric (so not pertex or similar) but shrugs off a breeze/windchill when biking. The Boreas reads great, but there’s mixed reviews on it’s wind resistance.

    Cheers.

    Yeah mate, I’ve got one.

They’re not fully windproof but wind resistant which is preferable imo. They’re pretty versatile and can be worn on and off the bike, good to throw on over a standard fleece etc, also work well as a sunshirt.

Can’t fault mine, its light, packs down to nothing, it does exactly what I was expecting it do.

Sounds like just the job. As you say, looking for wind resistance rather than windproof. Should be a versatile bit of kit. Cheers.
