As title, do you put a little grease on the crank axle before sliding it through the BB cups?

I do.

Me too. I've had it seize before and I had to spend ages hitting the axle as hard as I can with a rubber mallet to get it out. Lesson learnt!

follow that!

I do, and plenty of it. Makes the cranks easier to remove. I also slather the BB threads in copper grease too, for the same reason.

yes. iirc it's in the instructions.

As mocha says its in all external bearing destructions!

I do. I just used copper grease, as I have a big tub of it. Also used on the BB threads.

yes.

Yes. Helps prevent moisture getting in, but I'd use something designed for use with bearings - I tend to smear it all over the inside of the bearings anyway, and copper grease ain't too hot for that role.
Copper grease, in my world, is purely for the back of brake pads and on bolt threads.

never grease...just attracts dirt
you want a smear of shimano anti-seize inside the HT2 cup before sliding the driveside arm/axle into place. this will coat the axle and allow easy removal, months later
