doing a stupid road trip in september (not my idea).
on the monday plans are to get dropped at Taunton, and cycle to Watchet, where we are staying for the night.
never ridden the Quantocks. it looks full of tracks.
just wondering if there is anything to steer clear of?

Ride up from taunton to lydeard hill car park via Kingston. Follow the ridge line along the top, good views, easy riding. Drop off the end of the ridge via weacombe or smiths Combe.

There’ll probably be a stag hunt taking place that day 🙁

Plenty to choose from – I’ve not seen a hunt on the Quantocks for years.

    When are you down?
I’m off to the Alps on the 16th for a week but we ride up there regularly.

Absolutely magical place.Grin inducing downhills and some very steep climbs.

Err, I think those are females!

The Quantocks stag-hunt takes place on Mondays and Thursdays in the autumn. Maybe you only ride at the weekend in the autumn?

Just riding through the Quantocks or having a play? If you like singletrack, you’ll love it
