At the risk of reopening a very old debate, it would have been a lot easier for us as consumers if there was a QR standard and a 20mm bolt though standard, as that would mean the same hub no matter what sort of bolt through fork you happen to buy. That’s why 15mm is stupid. Fox could have come up with a 20mm design that was as slick as the 15mm version without making life more difficult for consumers.
The problem with the cycle industry is that there are no real interchangeble standards that everyone agrees to stick to, which can make repalcement of worn parts a much more expensive exercise than it needs to be.
