So TK Maxx on market st in central manchester has a few pairs of montane terra alpine shorts in for 18 quid (rrp 50), tags on them state they were salesmen samples but they're all brand new. all are size M and montane do usually size up small, i'd say that these would fit probably 30-32" waist. these are great softshell summer walking shorts!
they also had a couple of featherlite smocks in for £25 but i reckon these would have gone by now...
