I do like the interesting locations he goes to, still not sure if I think he’s an upper class twit though

I tend to agree but I find him so much less annoying that that bear twit! and at last I dont disturb the neighbours with my shouting at the telly when he is on!!

I do get a bit jealous and start filling my head with nonsense about heading off on adventures. Still to make it past the fantasy stage 😀

Yup, seems like a great bloke to me.

What has his class to do with this? So he went to a mediocre boarding school. But, he’s an ex-Royal Marine, which counts for way more than any class loblocks.

Oh, and he can ride a bit, can’t he!

Sounds like he’s on an interesting journey. Not too sure about the beer and sex though.

I’m enjoying it. He gives the people he talks to enough space to show themselves as they are.

Edit: And isn’t “jools” usually short for Julian (confirmed in Jools182’s profile details). Bit posh/upper class twittish no ? 😉

I think he does an excellent job of taking the viewer with him on his own journey of discovery. He’s not a wide-eyed and credulous hippy, nor is he a dismissive scientific know-it-all. Because he doesn’t have a ‘position’ it’s hugely engaging to see his exploration of what he finds.

    dim/intelligent.

well travelled/sat on the sofa surfing the net.

    school of life/ university.

judging what part of the river to cross without getting eaten by the crocs / judging folk on the net that they havent even met.

    Priceless!

err isn’t that what you’re doing?

Didn’t realise we had to meet tv personalities before we were allowed to express how they come across

He seems like a nice chap, I just remember on his last series he seemed to be grinning and giggling at inappropriate moments, could well be just how he is when faced with a new situation, I don’t know, I haven’t met him.

You don’t really think he got that chubby eating beetles and lichen, do you?

At least you can see Bruce Parry’s ribs (in Tribe anyway).

He’s a brilliant TV presenter. Seems really smart to me, not dim at all.

Bush Tucker Man. Now we’re talking!

Remember watching it after getting home from school

He was on a Ray Mears episode not too long ago

Bruce Parry does impress me in the way he gets stuck in. He looked properly ill in one episode when he took some strange hallucinagenic concoction.

So he went to a mediocre boarding school.

Pah. It’s primarily a music school, CFH – they’d whip you at singing. Although it does cater for those who don’t want to attend the excellent local comprehensive. 8)

Bruce is a top bloke. Him and Ray could be the new Little & Large.
